The main entrance is where energy enters the home, so Vastu gives it particular attention. North, north-east and east facing entrances are generally considered the most favourable.
Door placement
Within a favourable direction, the exact placement of the door still matters, and the threshold should be clean, well lit and free of clutter. A door that opens clockwise into the home is preferred.
Common mistakes include a cramped or dark entrance and obstacles directly facing the door. Many of these can be eased without structural change.
